with my pencil ( I know that sounds so sad, doesn't it?) anyway, I haven't drawn anything in a long time and decided to take my pencil out for a lil walk across the ole sketch book pages. I warmed up with this sketch but got frustrated with the shoulders, hands, and legs. I don't know why I started with "complicated" first. That's ok, I'll get back to it.
Next, I sketched this and felt a little better about my rusty skills, I guess I was warmed up. I'll have to take my pencils out more often, not just to get better, but for how I feel when I draw.
Until the next blog...enjoy!
Carol
beautiful - I love the first one .. fab!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
DeleteCarol, I really love both images, but I love the right shoulder in the first sketch as it gives your image a coquettish look--something at which we girls can be quite good! Love the braids in the second, not to mention those beautifully arch brows! You have not lost your touch! I am glad you receive emotion from your art, Carol, you certainly put some in there, too!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a "freeing" feeling to draw and paint. I just love it.
DeleteBeautiful work - yes I use copic - I would like to follow your blog but I do not see the spot to follow - I am in your circle but I do not understand how the circle work - thanks again for your comment!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you. You can subscribe by email, the link is above my picture on the left side. Now that your in the "circle" when I post something on you will be notified through google. With all this social media, it can get very confusing :) Thanks for following!
DeleteThese are wonderful sketches! I've noticed when I haven't sketched in a while it always takes some time to get back into it again. Thnx for alerting me to the Woven Tale Press Magazine. I hadn't seen it yet. Congrats on being in there too!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I think it would help if I sketched something everyday.
