What's in my art journal?

Hello,

I enjoy working in my art journal.  I think every crafty person should have at least one.  People use their art journals in various ways.  To document events, as a visual diary, to experiment with art supplies, to  work on their drawing/painting skills, to showcase their talents, etc.  Whatever the reason, it can be very therapeutic.  I use it for all of these reasons, plus you really get a sense how you are progressing as an artist.

So I thought I would preserve Sundays to share a page or two from one of my journals. This page is called Namaste.  It is a Hindu word that means "I bow to the divine in you".  This page features my hand carved stamp of the same name and my hand carved Yin Yang stamp (a Chinese symbol), that represents balance for me. The bubbles, well, I love circles and bubbles and they just tend to show up in my work.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Be sure to come back on Tuesday when I feature one of my stamps  and a project created with it.

If you haven't started an art journal, I hope that you consider doing so. Until the next blog...enjoy

Carol

  1. I love the meaning of namaste, Carol! Your stamps both carry special meaning for you, and it shows in your artistry. Well done, my friend. Namaste!
