What's in my art journal? - Lots of stencil play

Today's share was a fun page to create.  I really enjoy working in the large Dyan Reaveley journal.  The pages are a heavy cardstock and can withstand all the wet media I love.

Though I didn't need it, I put clear gesso on both pages.  After the gesso dried I sprayed the pages with water and then sprayed Dylusions Ink sprays, When the ink was dry, I used various stencils to build up the background.

Next, I used a large flower stamp ( I don't know who it's by) and colored it with Inktense pencils and white acrylic paint.   I used my white acrylic pen in various places where I wanted images to stand out more, such as the flowers and the gecko stencil.

Scribbling here and there with my bamboo  sketch pens I finally called it done.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by, I hope you'll leave a comment to let me know you've been here.

Until the next blog...enjoy!
