Welcome to my day of the Blog Hop.
Words can't describe how excited I am about the up coming My Color is Beautiful Art 2015 Mixed Media Workshops, hosted by Tiare Smith. I, along with 7 other incredibly talented artists, will be teaching an online workshop. This is a first for me and I can't wait to get started. These workshops will be chalked full of colorful and creative projects backed up with a lot of positive energy and artistic empowerment.
I love carving my own stamps. It's extremely satisfying to bring a sketch to life, in the form of a stamp, There is beauty in the sometimes chunky and imperfect lines. I'm so happy that I will be sharing the the art of basic stamp carving with you. For this workshop, you will receive a list of supplies and a drawing of what you'll carve. I'll go over the basics of stamp carving, then show you a wonderful technique for using the stamp you carved.
Here's a few of my favorite hand carved stamps.
Registration begins November 11, 2014 and the workshop starts in February 2015 (stay tune for the schedule line up)'. I'm giving away a seat (that's all access folks) for the small price of you leaving a comment on my blog between now and November 11th. The winner will be announced on November 12th. Click here to register.
