Today, I'm sharing a page from an art journal made out of 4" x 6" journal cards. I started the page with two light layers of clear gesso. Once dry, I added some distress stains to it (Spicy marmalade, Mustard seed, and Fire brick red) Then I added some stencils using the same colors from an ink pad.
Tim Holtz plain tissue wrap is wonderful to work with. I stamped one of his butterfly stamps on it and colored it using distress crayons, then die cut it. A perfect addition to the page, don't you think?
