TBT - Art Journal Page

Hello,

For Throw Back Thursday, I thought I'd share one of my favorite art journal pages.  I've been carving stamps for two year now, the face on this page is my very first attempt at stamp carving.  I call myself being clever by not carving out the eyes so that I could draw the eyes looking in which ever direction I wanted. LOL!

I love love love elephants and there is something very calming to me about this lone elephant being watched over.  I didn't date the journal page but it was created sometime before the stamp. In playing with the new stamp, I added it to this page and I'm glad I did.

Do you ever go back through your art journal or other work and make adjustments to it?

Thanks for stopping by.

Until the next blog, enjoy your Thursday.

Carol

  1. Love seeing this journal background from you. It is so full of texture and interest--even before the addition of the watchful eyes and the elephant. Great work! Since I am on a design team, I often go back through what I have created so that I do not overuse the same stamp in my creations. I find, in doing so, I sometimes ask myself, "What were you thinking?" And, sometimes I find myself thinking, "That's really good! I like that! I did that!" It's usually the former, but, still it is a fun walk at times!

    1. We are our own worst critic aren't we? I would imagine that those walks down memory lane sometimes help inspire the next creation too.
