What's in my art journal - Silhouette Blends
Hey Hey Hey!
Two of my young adults had birthdays this month. One turned 30 and the other, on Friday, turned 20. Can you tell me where the time went so I can go there and retrieve some of it. WOW!! Feeling, nostalgic and a bit old, I came across these two pages that I tested a hand cut stencil on. It reminded me of one of my favorite segments on The Electric Company tv show, when I was young. The one where two silhouettes are facing each other and they each make a sound ( you see the sound spelled out on the screen) the sounds are then joined together to form a word. I LOVED THAT SEGMENT. (I think it's called silhouette blends)
I added the background for the stencil figures and vape clouds, I'll add the sounds they each say at a later time. Need to find the right word between them.
Do you have a favorite childhood tv show that you cherish? Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it. Until the next blog...enjoy!

Love your silhouettes, Carol! Your description of the segment you watched as a child is coming right back to you in this piece!! What I watched as a child and what I watched when my children were small has all blended together, but I think I did love It's Howdy Doody Time!
